Whenever we are called to trim a tree, we aim to make a distinction between two types of trimming that our customer might want: aesthetic and functional. While we're ready to help you with the former, we're much more open to doing the latter for simple reasons.

Trimming a tree to satisfy a person's idea of aesthetics is rarely advisable. A tree should be allowed to grow its branches in any way nature sees fit, with minor adjustments done when the tree could use a helping hand.

​Many people in charge of tree care aren't aware that excessive trimming can be very harmful to the well-being of trees and can cut their lifespan significantly. Minor visual alterations aren't a problem, but it's our responsibility to prevent trees from falling ill in our attempts to make them more stylish.

Functional trimming is another issue, and is done when the tree starts doing more harm than good. For example, a tree could grow so large that it obstructs certain road signs or impedes visibility in some other way, like blocking out the windows on a person's home.
